COALITION FAQ
-
Great question. WE’RE BOTH. Members can choose to be part of the fastpitch softball league (or not) by choosing the appropriate member-type at checkout. The fastpitch league is the cornerstone of UWFC, but we want to do more to support the women who play in the league and we want to give back to our communities. Acting as a coalition gives us that power!
-
You do not have to play softball to be a member of the coalition! Fastpitch softball is what brought the founders and board members together, but the love for our communities and each other is what spurred us to create the coalition.
All members get access to our monthly newsletter, invites to our monthly events, mentorship opportunities, and access to the entire UWFC network.
-
Anyone 18+ can join the coalition as a member. Our community support and social events typically involve supporting marginalized communities and we would love to see you there with us!
Members who choose to play in the fastpitch softball league should have some experience with playing the sport, but we are welcome to all skill levels. We love seeing “retired” fastpitch softball athletes out on the field with us!
-
We welcome students as members! We offer opportunities for networking and mentorship AND we’re excited to be involved in community care via volunteering. There are great opportunities to learn and grow skills that are applicable to life after school!
Student-athletes interested in playing in the league should discuss the opportunity with their coach(es). Playing fastpitch softball over the summer can give you the game time to hone existing skills and try out new ones.
LEAGUE FAQ
UWFC is the future of women’s fastpitch softball in Denver.
We are built by fastpitch softball athletes who believe players deserve control of their league. We start with the basics and need your input; see the lists in the accordions to know what’s included with your membership.
Interested in making changes to what’s included with membership? Tell us! We’re a player-led league.
In collaboration with CityWide Sports, we’re playing games at Rude Recreation Center!

Great question; by joining the coalition, you get to play in the fastpitch league (that’s probably why you’re here!). The fastpitch league is the cornerstone of UWFC, but we want to do more to support the women who play. Acting as a coalition gives us that power!
-
Perfect! We currently only register players rather than registering teams. After registration, we’ll work to create teams that have a great balance of players to keep competition high.
-
ALL! We are looking to fill all positions across a few teams!
-
No matter how long ago you played, getting back on the field is like riding a bike. We welcome people with high school, travel ball, or college level fastpitch experience!
